Cookie Policy

This Cookie Policy explains what cookies are, how Creative Drawing Academy uses them, and how you can manage your preferences. It supplements our Privacy Policy, which describes how we handle personal data more broadly.

Quick summary

  • Essential cookies keep the site working and store your consent preferences.
  • Analytics cookies (optional) help us understand which lessons and pages are most useful.
  • Marketing cookies (optional) support advertising measurement and remarketing.

You can open the cookie banner at any time using the ā€œManage Preferencesā€ option in the cookie banner, or by clearing your cookies to reset the choice.

What cookies are

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They help websites remember information about your visit—such as a session identifier, language settings, or consent preferences—so that the site can function properly and provide a smoother experience.

In addition to cookies, some tools use similar technologies such as pixel tags (small snippets that record page events) and server-side logs. When we refer to ā€œcookiesā€ in this policy, we also mean these related technologies when they serve the same purpose: enabling core site features, measuring usage in aggregate, or supporting advertising measurement.

Creative Drawing Academy uses a category-based approach: Essential cookies are always active because the site cannot work without them, while Analytics and Marketing cookies are optional and require your consent where applicable.

Cookie types we use

Session vs. persistent

Session cookies last only while your browser is open and usually support basic navigation and security. Persistent cookies remain on your device until they expire or you delete them, which can help remember preferences such as your cookie consent settings.

First-party vs. third-party

First-party cookies are set by Creative Drawing Academy. Third-party cookies are set by service providers (for example, analytics or advertising partners) when those tools are enabled. Third-party cookies are used only when you have given consent for the relevant category.

We do not use cookies to collect sensitive personal data such as government IDs or payment card information. Our registration form requests only the details needed to respond: first name, last name, email address, and learning goals.

Cookie categories

1) Essential cookies (always on)

These cookies are required for core site functionality and security. They help us keep sessions stable, prevent abuse, and store your cookie consent choice so we can respect it on future visits. You cannot disable Essential cookies using our consent controls because the site may not function properly without them.

Examples include a session continuity cookie and the cookie that stores your consent preferences. If you clear cookies in your browser, you may be asked again to make a consent choice.

2) Analytics cookies (optional)

Analytics cookies help us understand how visitors use the site—such as which pages are visited, how long visitors stay, and which topics are most helpful. This information is used to improve course pages, lesson clarity, and navigation. Analytics data is typically aggregated and does not aim to identify you directly.

When enabled, we may use Google Analytics 4 with IP anonymization (where supported). Analytics cookies are set only after you give consent through our cookie banner or cookie preferences panel.

3) Marketing cookies (optional)

Marketing cookies are used to measure advertising performance and to show relevant ads to people who have visited our site (remarketing). They can also be used to build audiences (for example, custom audiences and lookalike audiences) based on site interactions, such as a visit to the registration page or a completed form submission.

If enabled, these cookies may be set by providers such as Google Ads and Meta. Marketing cookies are set only after you provide consent. You can turn this category off at any time through cookie preferences.

Note: If you reject non-essential cookies, you can still use the site and submit the registration form. The only difference is that we will not use optional cookies for analytics or marketing on your device unless you later consent.

Cookie table

The table below lists cookies that may be used on this site. Some third-party cookies appear only when the related category is enabled and only after you provide consent. Names can vary by provider configuration; where applicable, we include common examples.

Name Purpose Category Type Retention
_site_session Site session continuity Essential First-party Session
cookie_consent Stores your consent choice Essential First-party 12 months
_ga GA4 user identifier Analytics Third-party 2 years
_ga_XXXXXXXXXX GA4 session state (10-char GA4 ID) Analytics Third-party 2 years
_gcl_au Google Ads conversion linker Marketing Third-party 90 days
_fbp Meta Pixel browser identifier Marketing Third-party 90 days
_fbc Meta Pixel click identifier Marketing Third-party 90 days

If you would like more detail on how a specific cookie is used on your device, you can inspect cookies in your browser settings and contact us at [email protected].

Third-party providers

Depending on your consent choices, we may enable services provided by:

  • Google LLC (Google Analytics 4, Google Ads, Google Tag Manager, remarketing).
  • Meta Platforms (Pixel, conversion measurement, remarketing audiences).
  • Cloudflare (content delivery and security features that may process IP data for threat detection).

We do not permit these providers to use site data for their own independent commercial purposes. Provider cookies are used to deliver the service to us (analytics measurement and advertising measurement) under their terms and policies.

How to manage cookies

You can manage cookies in three practical ways:

  • Consent banner and preferences: Use the cookie banner to accept all, reject non-essential, or manage preferences. You can open the preferences modal from the banner.
  • Browser settings: Most browsers let you block or delete cookies. If you block all cookies, some parts of the site may not work properly.
  • Provider controls: You can also use provider opt-out tools (see below).

How changes take effect

When you save new cookie preferences, the change applies going forward. If you turn off Analytics or Marketing cookies, we will stop activating those categories and may delete certain related cookies where feasible. Some third-party cookies can also be cleared through your browser settings.

If you clear your cookies entirely, your consent choice will be removed and you may see the banner again.
